Abstract

The most prevalent causes of diarrhea include viral infections, bacterial infections, parasitic infections. Bacteria are also likely to bring about acute food poisoning. Medications are known as the third most important cause of acute diarrhea. Viral gastroenteritis is the most prevalent cause of acute diarrhea in the world. The symptoms of viral gastroenteritis include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea that specifically last for 48 to 72 hours. Abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting are included as the symptoms and signs that are seen in children suffering from viral gastroenteritis. If the cause is viral, the condition will generally improve over one week. Some viral causes are likely to be associated with fever, fatigue, headache, and muscle aches.
